Membership Categories

The Businessmen Association for Syria defines a businessman of interest as any person engaged in commercial, industrial, innovative, or service activities, whether as an owner or a company manager, or as an innovator of a new project (entrepreneur), or as a trader specializing in the purchase and sale of goods and the provision of services, or as an industrialist owning or managing an industrial facility. This term includes anyone who makes strategic decisions and assumes the financial and legal risks associated with managing and developing businesses, with the aim of achieving profit and growth.

Membership Type A

This membership is intended for individuals and organizations who meet the requirements to join the association, which are:

  1. Legal registration
  2. Individuals in senior positions or those with a clear influence in the business sector.
  3. Signing a commitment to the association's core principles and objectives.
  4. Paying the annual membership fee, approved by the New Syrian Government.
  5. Approval of the Board of Directors.

Benefits of Type A Membership:

  1. Attend general assemblies
  2. Vote in the general assembly
  3. Run for membership in the Board of Directors
  4. Access to a wide business network
  5. Participation in training and development programs
  6. Benefit from consulting services
  7. Priority in media promotion
  8. Special privileges in exhibitions and international entry permits

Membership Type B

This membership is available to individuals or organizations who wish to benefit from the advantages of Type A membership but without voting rights or eligibility to run for the Board of Directors.

Membership Type C

This membership is open to individuals and organizations who wish to stay informed about the association's activities and participate in its public events, but without voting rights or eligibility to run for the Board of Directors.

Benefits of Type C Membership:

  1. Members in this category have no voting rights or influence in administrative decisions, and cannot run for positions on the Board of Directors.
  2. Members enjoy access to newsletters and quarterly reports, along with some benefits in events.
  3. Payment of the annual membership fee, approved by the New Syrian Government.

Honorary Membership

Honorary membership is granted to distinguished or influential individuals in recognition of their contributions or achievements in certain fields. They may be from outside the association's active members.
